We’ve all experienced moments where our emotions get the best of us, but as Proverbs 31 reminds us, wisdom and kindness should guide our words. A Proverbs 31 woman speaks life into her family and community, knowing that the power of the tongue can build up or tear down. Let’s reflect on how we can choose love and wisdom over frustration in our daily lives.
Proverbs 31:26 – “She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue.”

In my home, I’ve made it a priority to speak from a place of love and logic. I remind myself that life and death are in the power of the tongue, and it’s important to choose my words carefully, especially when emotions are running high. By taking a moment to pause and reflect, I ensure that what I say is not something I will regret once I’ve processed my feelings. This discipline not only guides my language but also strengthens my relationships, particularly with my children and my husband. It helps me to build them up with words that affirm and encourage rather than tear down.
What are some ways you can practice speaking with wisdom in your home?
In what situations do you find it hardest to choose love and wisdom over frustration, and how can you work on that?
Sis, your words have power! As you go through your days, remember that choosing to speak life and wisdom is one of the most powerful ways we can honor God and uplift those around us. Let’s commit to speaking from a place of love, knowing that God is with us every step of the way.
Love & Blessings,
